Favorite fighter is one thing but going after the W's is another. I see vistaman is abandoning his favorite fighter plan this season as well.
If you guys would let me change Mancini's defense from +6 to 0, he'd be a Mitt Slinger for life.

I bet Mancini wishes he could've done that, too

End of the Year Awards voting and All-Star voting.

By majority vote, all votes will remain concealed until the voting is over for all EOY voting and the All-Stars.

I feel where your coming from, last night I decided to check out Mosley's ratings in the game since I didn't remember them and I must say that there is very little chance of me taking him now. He doesn't fit what I want to do with my team and like you said winning is more important then having your favorites.

Yeah, it's fun to have your favorites when their winning but watching them lose would suck which is way I won't grab Mosley now since I don't think his ratings will lead to him winning very much. I have none of my favorites on my team heck the only person on the team currently who I had seen fight was Edwin Rosario. Of course, I'm in the process of fixing that by downloading every Danny Lopez and Donald Curry fight I can and then I'm going to move onto the others.

Indeed.

Early in his career, he trained at Mac Buckley's farm in Marlbourough. (Right next to Hebron, home of the Haymakers!)

When Mike told me about this trade I was shocked 7 fighters jeez. Heck, that huge trade Mike and Chris before the first draft only had 7 fighters total. JCWeb has only been in the league for a few days and he's already help set off probably the largest trade in UTBA history. It looks like we might have another Chris on our hands.

JC and I worked on this one for a while ... I really wanted Cotto and I needed to drop some cap room .. he gave me a list of 12 guys to draft and I managed to get 5 of them.

Looking to Deal ...

Yep, I went from having virtually no fighters a few days ago to having too many -- now I have to unload at least four of them and 25 pts. to get under the cap. So, if you see anyone you want, PM me. I am looking to possibly add a lower rated guy (1 or 2) in a stacked division like MW along with a higher rated guy (like a 10 or 11) in exchange for a couple of the guys (like one of the 8 rated BWs) I would otherwise have to unload as a result of the trade with mh. Guys with some age (at Prime or Pre-Prime) will be preferred, and draft picks one way or the other will also be considered.

Last shot at making a move...

Down to the final hours before the waiver wire closes - the Beavers have more quality fighters than they have openings so I'm going to put one more call out there:

I am willing to part with one if not both of my BW fighters. (8)Jhonny Gonzalez 27-30-2 (8) *PRIME, who turned prime right at the end of last season, is available. (10)Jimmy Carruthers 18-8-3 (7) *pre-prime, the current belt holder, I'd rather keep but I am a little pinched on the salary cap, so the right offer might pry him from me as well.

HW (8) Eddie Machen 0-0-0 (0) *beginning is available. Call me crazy, but I think his value is every bit as strong as Tommy Burns. But he'll cost you a lot less.

FW (7)Celestino Caballero 0-0-0 (0) *beginner is available. I'd actually like to keep him, as I think he will be one of the best 7's in his prime, but right now I have no room in my stable. Depending on if I make any other trades, I may try to keep Caballero, in which case (4)Torpedo Billy Murphy 18-27-3 (12) *pre-prime, a UTBA comeback fighter of the year candidate, will be available.

I am not looking to make wholesale changes. That said, the only guys who are untouchable on the roster are Mickey Walker, Bernard Taylor and Zab Judah.

Let me know if you have some interest, as I have to work some waiver magic in the next few hours.

Matt
