Importing 6.5 leagues

Does 2007 import everything including league/player histories or is this the same as 2006 where a lot of historical info was lost?

Sorry, but this part of the game hasn't changed much (it does a better job with importing the ratings though). But there is a utility out there that can import player histories...

It's one of Larry Anderson's.

Probably the biggest reason our league never switched to OOTP2006 when it came out was the problem with converted leagues having crazy stats the first few years (like multiple pitchers with ERAs under 1.00, and formerly good players now becoming scrubs for no apparent reason). We found it almost impossible to fix, because making small changes to the modifiers would suddenly send things shooting in the other direction.

Is there going to be better stability in the conversion from 6.5 to 2007 so that we (by which I mean I) don't have to spend a month running meticulous tests that adjust each development/creation scale and baseline stat little by little in order to get some semblance of a smooth statistical transition?

going from 6.5 to 2006 or 2007 is going to have more hiccups than going from 2006 to 2007. the change in database, correlation of ratings, and entirely new settings will never be completely overcome.

I had to do a little testing to get the league totals and such correct, but once I did the stats were right in line with what they had been in 6.5.

I'm still playing my OOTP 6.5, but this version looks too good to pass up! I should be placing my pre-order in the next few days.
