Guys
Some good and bad news on the EHM front today. Firstly, a patch for 2007 is now available (3.0.3) but sadly this is the last ever version of the game. More news here : http://community.sigames.com/eve/for...5/m/8602070492 |

I guess I could kind of see this coming. Has it been announced what the new game from SI is going to be?

I know some people would have have an accident in their pants if it was Curling sim!
The community will keep the game alive for a good while yet.

Or maybe they're going to get in on capybara manager sims finally.

What about an EHM/Football Manager style basketball game featuring numerous international leagues? I assume the NBA licensing fees would be killer, though.

I think there are already enough text basketball sims, between Grey Dog, and Wolverine Studios, I would much rather see a real crack at an American football sim.

Along this thinking, there's already Solecismic and Grey Dog is developing a Pro game as well. I think in the small world of text sims, that competition is good, but to much competition and we wont see any of these companies grow. What would be perfect is if SI brought in Jim from Solecismic and used his engine to create a pro football sim.

My suggestions
1. Curling ("both of our viewers must be ecstatic" - The Simpson's)
2. Handball (anyone who has ever been to New York City knows what I am talking about) 3. Jai Alai ( I just like saying Jai Alai) 4. Figure Skating (I would go Tonya Harding on all the competition) Seriously, it's too bad about this game. I only have the demo, but planned on buying it eventually. I still may. |

Is there a forum dedicated to EHM like this great forum here?
And a quick question... how good is this simulator? We're looking for an alternative to the crappy NHL0X series for next year...

I heard it was a good simulator. But, as you can see, it may be late to jump on board, because they are no longer developing it.

wow. Sad that piracy led to the demise of a fine title.
It shows the ironic nature of piracy in that it lead to the demise of a game apparently many people loved. |
