Besides if you eat meat you are probably getting it from a farmer or rancher who kept the best animals alive for profit. How would that be any different from the owners if they were only interested in profit of the horse? I agree its not our place to judge.

Barbaro will likely be buried. The slaughter-houses buy horses that don't bring a certain amount (around here it's something like $800) at the local auctions.

Very true. I suppose you can indulge yourself on anything.

But I have a feeling we'll know for sure next year at auctions.
