Yes. It took me a while to get up and running; that is, to gather a sufficient number of fighters. (I now have nearly 3,000 trial horses and tomato cans in the universe.) I wanted to be up to full speed around the time that Benny Leonard took over as lightweight champ.
Only eight divisions, at least to start. Every fighter appears five or six times per year. Every champ must defend within five or six months. Automatic aging is turned on, and that rather than historical actuality determines career length. |

Jack Dillon retains light-heavy title
Jan. 12, 1917--Jack Dillon stopped Tommy Gibbons in the 11th round of their scheduled 15-round light-heavyweight title bout in New Haven, Conn.
Dillon was defending his title for the first time since regaining it from Billy Papke, the former middleweight champion, in August of last year. Dillon has now defeated Gibbons twice in light-heavyweight title bouts. The Frankfort, Ind., fighter won a split decision in March 1913 before he and Gibbons battled to two consecutive draws over the next 11 months. The fight was stopped in the 11th because of cuts over both of Gibbons's eyes. Dillon has only one knockout and six TKO's in 45 career bouts. He improved his record to 35-2-8. Gibbons left the ring with a record of 33-4-4. After the bout, the 25-year-old from St. Paul, Minn., announced that he would move up in class to fight as a heavyweight. |

Dillon is currently 23-0 with 15 stoppages in my uni. Surprising he has so few stoppages for you.
Was/is Tommy Ryan in your uni? |

Tommy Ryan
Tommy Ryan retired in 1907 with a record of 72-12-4 (29). He reigned as the N.Y.A.C. welterweight champ from 1890 to 1895, when he resigned the title upon taking the middleweight crown off Jim Hall's head. Ryan was dethroned in 1897 by Charles (Kid) McCoy--his first career loss. He was knocked out by McCoy in the second round a year later.
In 1900, Ryan finally got even with McCoy, kayoing him in the sixth to regain the middleweight title. Mike Donovan made him the ex-champ three years later, and after Ryan failed in a bid to unseat Philadelphia Jack O'Brien as light-heavy champion four months later--only his fourth loss in 63 fights by that point--he entered the end stage of his career. He lost eight of his last 24 fights. Ryan's career winning percentage of .809 is the 21st best in the history of my universe. |
