SION In game does not update in GM files

The commish file has all information necessary. The file is uploaded to the server. GM's download in game, but do not get the majority of the information in SION. For example, News, transactions, draft log, etc. do not update. This goes for all teams home pages also.

Again, the commishes file has all the correct infrmation. something is not getting included in the file upload.

Any suggestions?

The items you refer to are reports (HTML files) created within the game. If your commish does not include these as part of the league file then you will not get them. Most online leagues do not include these as part of the file because they can get rather large.

Is your Commish using the game to make the file upload, or is he doing it himself? If it's the game, then he has to make sure to check all the boxes for those reports, or you won't get them. He may be leaving them out on purpose, though, as Goodsox said.

well, i'm waiting to speak to him tonight. I have the file and have been testing. I appreciate your replies, I will add more details as i get it.

Ok, sorry for not getting back sooner.

Here's the deal. I realize or thought it was html files and i know where they are in the ootp directory.

I tried several things to get this into the game, but haven't got it yet.

Here is what I did most recently.

I downloaded the full (working) commish file.
Another sim passed.
I did the in-game update. (files didn't update)

I spoke to the commish and had him create the missing reports for me.
I put the files in the proper place.

Still does not work.

He has told me that he does check everything when uploading and when i go into the game myself and look, everything is checked.

Now, let me try and clarify something first. If I want these files included we would have to follow what process when getting the file ready.

Would we go straight to 'Upload league files' check all boxes then 'create files' and then of course archive and upload. (This is what is done)

or

Do 'Create/Upload' reports need to be done first?

All you should have to do is 'Upload league files'. If that's what you're doing, and it's still not working, there's something that needs fixing.

Would it be possible for me to get a hold of the league file? I can then try importing and see if I have the same issue.

Be warned though, the file is huge. The next step was to shrink it.

I you were to dload that and do the ingame update you will see the problem.

I keep getting an error trying to download the file. However, I think it is my internet service. I'll try again later today and let you know if I get the file.

hmmm.. i just tried to dload. seems ok. I didn't do the whole thing but it started ok.

Right here is a good place to start (as you already have by sending the file to Goodsox). Just because it might be a bug and won't get fixed until the next version doesn't mean no one cares to report it! First it would be nice to see if it's a bug or a setup problem.

I'm still having trouble with the download. It starts and gets all the way to the end and then it errors out I still think it is my Crapcast (Comcast) though because I am having other issues. I'll keep trying.
