I mean to hear Tommy Docherty, a critic of Beckham, openly scoff and sneer at MLS, calling it Conference-level "no disrespect to Altrincham" makes me sick at such xenophobes in this country.
You don't like Beckham - fine. You don't like MLS - fine. If it goes bankrupt then you'll be SO ****ing happy, won't you? Just forget the hell about the junk then.

As for adidas, it would make sense as his presence will sky rocket the marketing for the Galaxy uniform and its sales.
There are rumours on bigsoccer that the Galaxy will be rebranding. Possibly a name change as well.

Well where are these "showman" players coming from then? They don't grow on trees.
They've got to be paid for somehow, and if as he says that the sport has no fans, where is the money coming from to pay for it?

I think it's getting rid of the Galaxy bit, rather than Glazer buying the club.

Yep, I went when Dwight Yorke and Pierre Littbarski were still at Sydney FC. Atmosphere was OK, but it's still painful to watch after seeing EPL or La Liga games in comparison. Getting plenty of young Brazilians down here now, particularly to Adelaide United.

Adelaide United will offer a trial to another two players as part of the sister club relationship with Miami FC and Desportivo Brasil.

Defender John Paul Rodrigues and midfielder Diego Walsh impressed Adelaide United coach John Kosmina when they were recently here with Miami FC.

Two Brazilian players, Elton and Cristiano, have already been training with the club for the past two weeks.

They arent the next coming of Ronaldinho or Cafu etc, but they still have great ball skills and creativity.

In FM, be prepared for a tough time running an Aussie team...I havent even attempted it yet, lol.

FM question for anyone who has it......is there a way to "reset" the database after you've edited it? In the past, I had to uninstall the game and delete its registry entries, then re-install the game. Is that still the case? I made too many changes using the editor and ended up creating a super-team that I no longer want. Live and learn I guess.

You did not back up the original database?

And what version of FM are you using?

Yeah, I backed it up when it asked me, but its OK now, as I just went over to the SI forums(dont worry, I put on my bullet-proof vest first) and did a search for "reset database" and found what I needed. Thanks man.

2007 is a alot better game as far as database is concered.

When you begin a new game is asks you which database you would like to use, very helpful

Yeah, I will get 2007 soon, but I only grabbed 2006 from the post-xmas bargain bin a couple of weeks ago, so will play the crap out of it, then pick up 2007 if I see it coming down a little(it's still $89.95AU) bit lower.

The Premier League is bad for any new league setup. It's seen as the "holy grail" by fans in these countries (why I don't know, most of the teams are bloody awful), and when a local league is setup, fans say "I'm not watching this junk" (see MLS).

A-League is struggling financially as well, isn't it? I think two teams have already had to be bailed out.

I'm all for each MLS club being it's seperate entity and depend on only itself and not the league to make moves. This would mean the contracts are club contracts and not MLS-owned contracts and other clubs in Europe must deal directly with the club.
