NEW 6.5 Talent-Only League

Hello,

My name is David Brunner, and I am considering starting a new talent-only OOTP 6.5 league. I have a few people interested in GM positions, but I want to see if there is any, further general interest.

What is talent-only? Well, that means that the ratings are turned off. . It doesn’t work like most leagues you have been in or seen. The only ratings you see are the talent ratings. This means you have to be more astute in learning your roster and minor leagues. You need to pay closer attention to current statistics, statistical trends, development, and the ratings. Talent-only means you will need to invest 10-20% more time with your team at first to find what makes sense and what seems out of whack…player by player. It is much more difficult, yet realistic, to run a team in a talent-only OOTP league.

I will be a non-GM Commish. I will not be running a team, and therefore will be able to handle issues without any accusation of bias. Also, with talent-only, anyone with access to the commish password has a distinct advantage, so there is no way I could have a team and be fair.

About me: I ran the Chicago Cubs in BIG Baseball (www.big-baseball.com) for 10 seasons. I was the 5-time World Series winner, and then became Co-Commissioner later on. I have already written the rules for this league if any of you are interested in reading them, and will likely use allsimbaseball.com as the league site base.

If anyone has interest in this league, or has other questions, please let me know. I will begin to make a list of names to contact once I have the website/roster set ready to go.
