Athens Spartens make as much sense as the German French. Athens and Sparta were two enemy nations (city-states).

Well if there are other ones then we'll pick from those. If only the Greek Parliament members were called Senators, I could have called them that as they are twinned with Washington.

Anyway I'm off to bed, so at some point let me other ideas or else we'll go with one of the current two.

Cheesy but the Greek Philosophers makes more sense as it recognizes Greel history and culture.

Athens Hellinic?

Athens Phalanx?

Wont spoil it but in the Arsenal v Charlton game tonight there is a clear part of play that calls for this stupid offside law to be changed back to what it was.

I just can't get into it, I've been brought up with football teams called Athletic, United, City and so on and not called Chivas USA, Crew, Red Bulls and Wizards also been brought up with it being called football and not soccer plus we only get highlights and there on during the week around Thursday I think at 3-4am in the morning also lol your announcers are just plain crap and isn't American bashing because I've heard English people doing NFL games and their terrible as well.

Well, I don't get to see much euro football around here. My cable company doesn't have FSC or Setanta so I'm stuck with watching a replay of a midweek game on Comcast and the occasional CL game on ESPN.

I won't let you discourage me though.

No wouldn't do that, it's just hard to get into something that we only get about an hour of highlights once a week at 4am in the morning, even years ago when I got into baseball I could pick up the armed forces radio and listen to baseball games can't even do that with the MLS.

Hey guys, hope everyone had a great Xmas and you got lots of crap you wanted....I went shopping on Boxing day and found FM2006 in the bargain bin(Remember,I'd been playing 2005 up until then). I'll eventually get 2007 but am waiting to see it get reduced(which happens to US and UK based sports games over here quite often )

Can anyone recommend a good site for 2006 tactics or training schedule downloads?

Looking forward to some more great football action in real life 07!!
