This is why if you go down the leagues the quality of football may go down but the atmosphere is always better, I'd advise anybody visiting England to go watch a lower league game and contact the supporters club before, that way you'll know where to stand (don't sit for God's sake) to get the best feel of what football is about.
I really want to go to a lower league game,or even a conference game

The Premiership isn't what it's cracked up to be, when you follow a lower league team which Wigan were when I started to follow them (Division 4 or as it is now Division 2) you always crave to reach the top league. Now Wigan are there though I now crave the days of the lower league's and Springfield Park which was Wigan's old stadium, the Premier league may have the quality but it lacks the atmosphere and passion of the lower league's.

Is it me or is it stupid to think that fans could send their tickets back and say get a voucher for money of their next ticket say 10% and that the team could sell the tickets that are sent back again and the money go to charity, there are so many ways to attract fans but teams are just so inept at doing it.

This season Wigan raised their ticket prices which was stupid to start of with as we are only a small town, so they were shocked when attendances went down they have lowered prices but why don't they go round the schools and give away tickets to kids but they have to bring an adult with them that way a father and son can go to a game and only have to pay for one ticket.

What teams don't realise is they lose money on empty seats not only with the cost of a ticket but also they lose probably the price of a programme and maybe a drink and something to eat.

Crouch don't even play much, he played against Blackburn the other night missed an hatfull of chances got subbed and had the nerve to look at everyone with a look that said "why am I being subbed" HELLO Crouch because your rubbish, and the Premiership isn't full of pub teams like Jamaica who you can pump your stats up against, the saying "found out" springs to mind.

He's not a bad player, he's just got an odd mix of skills. He's 6'7", but crap in the air. He's got a good touch, footwork and is a decent finisher, but lacks the pace and strikers instinct to use them to the full. He drops off and links up well, but can't play facing forward because he offers no threat to beat a man or shoot from distance.

All in all, he's a decent mid-table Premiership 'forward'. Should suit Newcastle perfectly.

£12m??? I'd take £5m. Would love to see us get Darren Bent in instead.

David Villa from Valencia and Javier Mascherano from West Ham are reported targets, would cost them around £30 million. Bent would depend on if Charlton can get someone in maybe say Eastwood from Southend or if they feel that they are already down, can't see them letting Bent go if they feel they have a chance of staying up specially seeing the Premiership money goes up next season.

Samaras was doing well for City in my last dynasty, scored something like 10 in 14 which isn't too bad for a team like City. Young player called Sturridge though had scored think it was 16 in 12 for the youth team, pity wont see how he turned out.

Papers out of Germany today are all saying that Newcastle and Real Madrid and Juventus are hot after Miroslav Klose.
He would be an excellent fit for Newcastle and would get him out of the Bundesliga and make things easier on Bayern.

I have always thought of him as a chip off the Alan Shearer block, my English friends might disagree howerver.
He would be an excellent pickup for Newcastle

We've been linked with Villa several times; with Rafa's Spanish connections, I think if we were going to get him we'd have him by now, especially as we spent nearly £20m on 2 strikers this summer.

There are a lot of stories about Bent - an early January sale could give Charlton £10m-£12m to spend on 3 or 4 players which they may feel give them a better chance of avoiding relegation. Also, they'll be aware that if relegated, Bent would be leaving anyway for about half that amount.

In today's papers New England Revolution's midfielder Clint Dempsey has signed with Fulham, subject to him getting a work permit.
