I've just checked the data, and I wonder if this could be a "Year without a Winter"? We've had only four days where temperatures have been below 10 Celsius (50 Fahrenheit) so far, and today it is currently 54 degrees (measured at 9:50 am).

The average is only 7 Celsius (45 Fahrenheit), and we haven't had any days below 50 in December so far.

I dont think any of the lows have been below 55 since Ive been in south florida and there were maybe 7-10 total days where it dropped below 50 overnight in Orlando.

Torino vs Roma match has just started..what wusses Italians are: Some are wearing neck protectors to keep them warm. I have never seen anything like it.

On a related note, my father actually played rugby [union] in college and won a national championship (not that big of an accomplishment here comparitively) with a bunch of South Africans at a chiropractic college in Iowa at some point. He played football (ours) in high school and blew out both knees. By the time he went up there he was just playing for the alcohol and listening to what they told him to do.

If I had the time I would play for UCF's rugby club, but with school and soccer + all the **** I do online I dont have the time. Some day I hope to play the sport in some sort of organized fashion.

Yes, finally it has today.

We have had dense fog and temperatures constantly of 2C (36F) today, and fog is forecast for every day until past Christmas.


It currently is below freezing at -3C (27F) with visibility around 100-150 metres.

Its on my Time Warner basic cable..its the only soccer channel we get. Maybe you could ask your cable company to add it.

Not good news for Kansas City though - no stadium to play in with Arrowhead being closed, the new SSS they had planned to start building being voted against by local voters, and now losing one of their better players on a team that finished in the Eastern Conference cellar in 2006.

Lamar Hunt's passing certainly doesnt help them either.

Personally, Ive always despised them so this is good news to me; though I wish he would have a go in the first division there. Now if they give Eddie Johnson back to FCD or to Houston or even any other team...Ill be happy.

we dont get any soccer channel, just the ESPNs (1-2-Classic), FSN, Sun Sports and Speed. Unless Im forgetting something.

The cable company never listens to requests so its not worth it.

Now this IMO would be a good venue for an MLS team.

Ive seen that before...the USL teams have some good stadia. If I remember right they only have 10k seats so the MLS would likely not be interested...Id much rather they stick to US cities at this point.

The Wizards have already been sold to a local consortium.

Unless I'm mistaking you and you mean because he's died that there will be less opposition to moving the team out of KC.
