Post Best Fictional Team Names

I'm starting a new fictional league and am trying to think up unique team names, so I thought I'd use the opportunity to hear some ideas.

What are some of the most clever team names you've ever seen or used? These can be funny, silly, stupid, or whatever.

I prefer using somewhat realistic names for my leagues but I thought it would be funny to hear about all the goofy or offbeat team names you've seen.

TCBers? I may be showing off my ignorance, but what does that mean?

The Care Bears?

I've come up with a bunch of cool ones, but the coolest, IMO, are used in Home Town Baseball..........

Canton Brownbaggers
Rochester Redheads
Sioux City Sharecroppers
Columbia Comets

I have many more, but might be planning another fictional, so I don't want to let them out yet.

My advice is to do research on the city you have chosen and cool names will leap out at you.

IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

I've always been into the older, more historical names like the Monarchs, Knights, Excelsiors, Barons, Millers, Saints, Dukes, Greys, etc.

But I do like the Idaho Spuds, Utah Saints (was the name of a rock group in the early 90's) Omaha Ping, etc. as well.

Making up the team names is one of the best parts of the whole fictional experience. Choose wisely. May the force be with you.

Some great names there.

I love the Macon Whoopee! I lived in GA, is that a real team name? That's great.

And Khaos- I like the Milwaukee Best too. I had actually thought of something similar, but back in college we called that particular beer "The Beast" so I was going to use the Milwaukee Beast as a team name for my league.

Some that I like:
Hollywood Knights (Think Bob Seger)
Las Vegas Aces
New York Lights
Michigan Freeze
St. Louis Archers
