The winners will be automatically promoted, and the second placed team will play the bottom team in the JFL - almost certainly Honda Lock - in a two-leg playoff.

how does the playoff format work after the regular season? or is this a Cup/League type of system a la traditional Europe?

The bit I've highlighted is something that wouldn't be allowed this side of the pond I don't think. They have a show on FOX Soccer Channel, which also shows games from Major League Soccer. If someone did that here to someone in the Premiership, all that would happen is that the channel would be boycotted (see Ferguson boycotting the BBC, Allardyce also as well as nearly SKY after the bung programme). It seems you have a totally different philosophy.
I listened to that radio program a few times, its not bad I just dont have time for it...I agree with everything involving Donovan and O'Brien.

its not a big deal...I need to get it fixed when I go home; one of my memory sticks got fried a month into the semester and I have to open up the tower every time I restart. If it was working properly it wouldnt of been a problem.

the best tactical setup is to be able to run more than one setup

my favorite Mexican side, Monterrey, were ousted over the holiday while I was in New Jersey and couldnt watch...depressing story.

They played to a goalless draw at home and then lost 2-1 away to Toluca. Toluca, Pachuca, Chivas & America are now in the final four. I have no idea who Im rooting for at this point.

It's a two stage playoff.

There are 9 regional leagues in Japan, and each one sends the champion to the playoff. Then, the best 3 regional leagues performances in the previous year's playoff get an extra place, so that's for their second placed team in the league (it was Kansai, Kanto, and Kyushu).
Finally, there is a wildcard, which used to go to the top university in the nation, but with the JFL wanting to further distinguish the university league from the senior league, that went to a team that finished 2nd in one of the other six leagues, that they felt could benefit from being promoted (ambition to go into J.League in the future, stadium, playing level) - and that went to Tokai League's FC Shizuoka.

So there are 13 teams who play in four groups (3 of 3 teams, 1 of 4) at "neutral" sites. I say that because Nagasaki hosted two of the groups, and V.Varen were in one of them.
They play each other once other a weekend (last weekend), with the first placed team advancing to the final group.

The following weekend those four play each other in a single round-robin, and this year the top team is automatically promoted (because two of the Sagawa corporate teams are merging), and the second-placed team will play a two-legged playoff with the bottom team in the JFL.
All the others will have to play another season in the regional leagues.

Good website if you want to look through what happens in the playoff round.

If you say so, then that's okay then. I didn't want to break something - I do that enough in my own home.

Well it happens when I touch them, so I consider it to be my fault. I think I must have some electricity running through my body.
