This forum is the place to begin your search. Look through the openings listed in the threads below, check out the leaguesites and send in an application if you find one that interests you.

You can just keep coming to this board until a league that fits your style has an opening. Also IMO for new owners it is best to join a new league so you can get the hang of it with a team you created.

A couple good things to do would be a) watch this forum closely. You will see league openings pop up on a regular basis, and b) check out this link and you'll find a ton of OOTP leagues. Find a few that you really like and email the commish to inquire about any openings. Good luck!

An established league will be more likely to last and should feature a good commish and owners who can help you with the learning curve.

Either way is good as I have a great fondness for joining a league at its beginnng. This has been the case with every league I have joined to date.

Another good way is to get onboard somewhere as an Asst. GM. Usually its a good way to learn the game if you're new, or to get a feel for the league. Then if theres an opening, you might have the inside track at getting the team.

SSW, your avatar pic brings a tear to me eye. I remember when Commissioners were men, and Bud Selig was afraid.
