I expect though the temperature still fluctuates wildly at times. Unless they now use temperature averages, rather than the bands of previous games.

See they charged James Cotterill from Barrow for that punch on the Bristol Rovers player.

I'd say Thatcher wasn't charged as he was making a challenge no matter how bad it was if you charged every player on a bad challenge there would be no football, Cotterill wasn't anywhere near the ball and just punched the player it was clear assault nothing to do with football at all. |

Off to work so can't check on it but think I remember years ago a player called think it was Paul Davies from Arsenal involved in something like this, think he was the one who threw the punch but don't quote me.

From left to right - Mark Lawrenson (analyst), who was a member of the Liverpool squad that won the European Cup in 1984; Ian Holloway (guest), who is the manager of Championship side Plymouth Argyle; and Ray Stubbs (host). Last edited by Sdpm100; 11-23-2006 at 02:33 PM. |

For the sake of completeness it was back in 88 with poor old Glenn Cockeril on the receiving end, and he got a broken jaw for his troubles. Davis got a twelve match ban, although I believe it was reduced by a game or three on appeal. It was a really weird incident all round given the lack of friction in the game and Davis temperament. To say it was out of character is an understatement. I think I'm correct in saying it was also the first time ever that television evidence was used to punish a player in Blighty. |

It's worth mentioning that Ian Holloway can be hilarious.
Also, we won in Europe again!!! We're definitely through. No matter who the opposition we keep scraping through. If only we could win in the league.

What is there support like? And why are they 51m in debt FM 2007 Are they that bad off in real life? They do not look to have quality enough players to be that far in debt. |

I am not too suprised about Bremen this season.
They finished well last year despite having a horrific year injury wise. It was one of the worst runs of injuries I have ever seen happen to one club. If their defense can hold together I think they have a shot at winning the Bundesliga and going far in the the CL |

There are a number of data issues. One club in Colombia has its home town in Armenia. It is odd because it appears to be cosmetic only and does not affect the game at all. |
