Integrated 1890s league has 2 openings

The American Pastime, an integrated league currently playing the 1893 season, has two open teams available.

The available teams are Jersey City and New York. Both are among the underachievers (do good teams ever come up available?) in the league, but they each have some promising players to build around.

The league's in its third season and is unique in that it includes Negro League players - not just the stars, but the "regulars" as well. TAP has 16 teams, with a good group of GMs. We use OOTP 6.5 and are not going to switch to OOTP 2006, now or in the future.

TAP has finances on and all ratings are off. With no ratings, it's a bit more of a guessing game for GMs but our turnover rate has been small, so it is a good fit for some.

If you're interested in TAP, or in more information on TAP, feel free to email or PM me.

Thanks for reading.

New York's been claimed. Jersey City awaits someone to guide the team to the promised land - or at least the playoffs.

Jersey City still available - Chicago is also possibly available. We are in the rookie draft for 1893.

The Skeeters aren't a bad team, they've just been neglected by an inattentive GM. The offense has some good players - Wee Willie Keeler and Mike Tiernan are both young and have 4 & 5 star ratings respectively. The team also has Oyster Burns, one of the league's best shortstops and catcher Doggie Miller is also top notch. The pitching needs help, but there is a possible ace on the staff in 18-game winner from 1892 Henry Gruber.

Jersey City is still available and Boston has also now come open. Chicago turns out to not be available.

I'm not sure if this will be any added incentive, but people who are already in one of my leagues will get first crack at my new 1970s "Big Money Baseball" league which will include real minor leaguers and will start with ALL players as free agents (ie. players will be distributed via free agency - not a draft).

Any league run by Joe is superlative. Don't miss this chance!
