I would say that being English and liking Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U or Liverpool is also a bit weird as these teams have basically stopped being English.

Rugby and Football, a few games do but rugby is played in Summer. Wigan Athletic share with Wigan Warriors the rugby team in Wigan who play in the top rugby league.

Is that too much grounds sharing for you?

It's not the United Kingdom lottery tonight, it's a European draw called EuroMillions.

As for the prizes, well they are all tax free.

The face of English football has changed alot over the last few years with the advent of massive TV coverage, some good things some bad things. imo I'd say the split is in favour of the bad things by say 60/40, some advice if someone is thinking about coming over to England to watch some games is catch a game out of the first or second division and it will give you a feel of what football used to be like.

How the Eurocrats allowed this windfall of money to slip through their fingers amazes me.

Something that has gone unnoticed is that one of the big clubs in French football, Monaco, are rooted to the bottom position in Ligue 1 this season, with just 8 points from 12 games.

And Paris Saint-Germain aren't doing much better, residing in 12th place and only five points above the bottom three.

Does anyone pay attention to French football?

I don't like it because I was brought up when teams didn't share, a football teams ground is part of it's history, Latics moved grounds about 7 years ago and I know they had to as Springfield Park was a dump, the toilets were just an hole in the ground and if you needed to drop your pants then you were in trouble anyways the JJB is nothing on Springfield Park, you got 1,000 people in there and it bounced and on Cup nights against the big boys and you got 12,000 in then it was unreal.

I've been to the JJB with 25,000 in and the atmosphere is poor, because it's all seated you get your seat and you stay there, were before you used to get in Springfield see where the hardcore were standing then go and stand with them.

Oh they take their share as well, don't you worry. But it comes from the ticket sales - for example in our own lottery, 12p of every £1 goes to the treasury.

Not really. It's a one-horse race nowadays. Lyon are already 9 points clear in their quest for a record-breaking sixth straight Le Championnat.

Thats 12 out of 100 right?

In California 1/3 goes to the state government off the top.

Have you ever taken a train to Europe to watch some weekend football? Sounds like it could make a fun holiday weekend.
