DIPS-based Pitching.csv
At the bottom is a link to a modified version of Pitching.csv that merely has the H, BAOpp, ER, ERA, and BFP numbers adjusted for team defense and league-average BABIP. I believe that the "stuff" takes strikeouts into account more than hits allowed, but my tests did reveal this database pumping out ratings (both potential and single-season) that differed from the standard Lahman database in a statistically significant manner.
I'm not suggesting any superiority here for this data set, it's just an interesting set of data to begin with that I spent 20 minutes giving another purpose. I've only run about five seasons on it (1996 to 2000) but I haven't seen any serious issues. The set runs from 1900-2005. I don't have a great reason for that except for that I ran these numbers before the end of the 2006 season. I suppose if you want to post this anywhere else for any reason, go ahead. Since I can't upload the file to this post, click this link to download the file. I'm in the process of setting up my new web server, so this is not always on 100% of the time. If you really want the file, try twice and I bet you'll get it. A note about using these numbers for non-OOTP purposes... the lgBABIP numbers used to create this database were VERY rough and not park-adjusted for the earlier part of the century. The most accurate numbers I'd say are 1970-2005 and the least accurate, therefore, the early part of the century. Link now works.
