New Universe, issues with minor league affiliates
I formed a new universe that consists of my existing 6.5 league, and three minor league levels for it.
So I go to a parent team, and see that the correct minor league teams are listed below. However, it seems that another teams players are on the affiliated team. For example, Reno is Las Vegas' AAA affiliate but it has Phoenix's players on it. What happened?

Can anyone shed some light on this one before I have to go through, reassign parent teams, and then change all the team names?
This should work the way I want it to.

I'm betting it has something to do with the way minors are handled on 6.5->2006 imports. Exactly what, I don't have the faintest clue. I'm hoping someone with more importing experience than I have will lend a hand here.

GBC,
Did you follow the steps listed in this thread http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1#post1775938? I've never imported a 6.5 league with minors, but that thread has some good step by step instructions.

I will try it again, and get back to you. Thanks for the advice, Goodsox.

Yeah, I did it that way and it still appears that the affiliate controls don't work properly.

BTW, this is officially a bug. I have tried it on three different created universes.
1) Create the league 2) Try to change the affiliation 3) It changes the affiliation, but retains the players from the original major league affiliation. Strange stuff. Don't think it was supposed to work that way. I also tried activating "no AI changes" for all the teams, that did NOT prevent the problem.

Now that I look back at your #3 above, I think you may be a little confused here. For example, let's say you took the Charlotte Knights from the Chicago White Sox and changed the affiliation to the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs would now have the Charlotte Knights as their team with all of the original Charlotte Knight's players. This is working as expected. Are you seeing something different here?

Goodsox, I don't know what the cuddly bear is expecting, but I would expect any secondary roster players from the Knights to be transfered to the White Sox's new affiliate and be replaced by players from the Cubs' secondary roster from the affiliate they were losing. Whether the non-roster players should change, I don't know, but the roster players absolutely should.

Yeah, then it's a design flaw. If you change the affiliate the major league teams players should go with it.
That's clearly not the way it works right now. We need to TT this for 2007.

Note: Somebody asled for an example of how this worls in MLB and the above is a real example. Cincinnati moved it's AAA affilate from INdy to Louisville. the Brewers then moved there's to INdy so the way it worked was the players all packed their bags and move to Kentucky and then the Brewers players moved into indy

TT#109 for 2007. I don't know if this can be changed or how difficult it will be, but it has been logged for Markus to take a look at. I'll keep you posted on any details when they are given. Thanks.
