Thanks for the update, Markus.

It is great to hear 6.5 elements will be restored to the game.

Hope you work on the graphics (faded logos) and make the in-game screen less cluttered and easier to read...hope we can see all of the PBP-text at one time, too.

Great stuff! Looking forward to the next edition as 06 has allowed me to use my imagination in ways that I could only dream in previous versions.

Onward, Markus.

This is wonderful news! Obviously, 'small' is in the eye of the beholder!

You can set all ratings except overall and potential to 2-8 now. Overall and potential do yield numbers like 53 in real life, since they average a number of 40, 50, 60, etc. ratings. I think the only number that goes in increments of five (instead of ten) in real scouting reports is velocity, where 80 = 100mph and each five point drop equals a three mph drop.

Please don't forget to bring back the seven-day lineups.

You do realize that half the things that've been mentioned as 'brought back' here will be brand new to to new players like me?

I have no idea what stars are, except that they must be bad because mostly obnoxious people keep asking for them. Now there are different colored stars? Far out.

I also have no clues about how player popularity, team focus (whatever that is), 'adustable stats % of AI evaluation' (which I can't even read) and seven day lineups would work. It sounds like a whole new, and much more complicated, game.

I'm looking forward to it.

I hope that you will add fan-fare to the end of a season: perhaps an article, or something big to showcase the year's winner. That would be HUGE for me.

Now if only we didn't have to spend $35 to find out that OOTP 2006 is most certainly not the game you are playing now.

PLayer popularity

Markus, I just read your post and have to say I am very pleased to see several features from 6.5 brought back into OOTP 2007. Excellent!!

I do have one request though, which I didn't see anywhere on the feature request pages. (Since we didn't know about which/any 6.5 features were returning)

Could you please, PLEASE, please make player popularity in relation with player performance, and have it fluctuate throughout a players career.

I'm thinking Sammy Sosa here: Unknown on the White Sox, loved in Cubbie blue, and later booed. Something like that!

PLEASE!

I guess I don't see the correlation between you spending money and the developer of the game playing the most recent build. Probably because there isn't any correlation.

To get an idea of what they are talking about, you could take a look at the OOTP 6 manual which is still available at http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/ootp/downloads.php
