Horwich is about 10 miles away and is in Lancashire, Leigh on the other hand is in Greater Manchester although many like myself no matter how long it is will never say we live in Greater Manchester, I always put Lancashire on my address and will never change just because some politician thinks I live in Greater Manchester.

I have no idea. I do know that Gordon Brown supports a team in Scotland. I hope you can tell me which it is, because I can't think of it atm.

Of course Americanise (-ize) is a word. It means to make something or become American in character.

Have you ever considered being a real fan? You have some good choices in your area.

Americanize (or Americanization). Americanize is the correct answer. Nice try, and thanks for playing. There will be some parting gifts for you.
