I don't know what you mean by CL.

As for CM, that is Championship Manager - the Eidos game that SI developed before the divorce. And like a lot of divorces it leaves some unhappy. They have a licenced J. League and French league which FM haven't, whilst not having a licenced MLS which FM have.
From this it seems to me that they are doing exclusive deals to stop the other getting some leagues, leaving you and me, the customer out in the cold.

As for the game, UKHS says the demo isn't that good, and the first version after the split kept being delayed, and when it was released the match engine was so bad, rolling a pair of dice would have given you more accurate and meaningful scores.

IMO I would stay away from it, but ask UKHS as he has played the demo.

Thanks. I thought the French league was in FM 2006? I know that the players are. From what you have explained, I definitly will not be buying it. It looks like there is FM or nothing.

As you know I know quite a bit.

He was certainly a fiery player on the field, and has been sent off nine times in his career, but they were mostly for just being too competitive rather than being malicious on the field. In recent years he has calmed down markedly.

The players are in there, but the team names aren't. So instead of Paris Saint-Germain you have Paris and instead of Olympique Marseille you have just Marseille.

The problem they will have is having enough stadiums to reach the 40,000 minimum. There just isn't the demand for big stadia in these countries.

That was the first soccer sim I played. The graphics were amazing but not the gameplay. I kept losing my best players to minimum fee releases; I didnt know what those were at that time.
