Moonshot Opening

Moonshot League of Baseball is entering our third season and we're looking for some good quality GMs. Moonshot is a historical league using real 2006 rosters with full minors. Here's a quick rundown of the league basics:

-- Uses OOTP 6.51a with no plans to migrate to OOTP2006
-- 2006 Opening Day Rosters
-- Real life draft picks and prospects added each year
-- Salary Cap of $80M
-- Cash Cap of $25M
-- We sim 15 days per sim, 3 days per week
-- Semi-Equalized markets
-- Scouting Combines twice a year (pick up an unknown player)
-- Simple rules
-- A very active group of knowledgeable owners

We are currently in the 2008 season.

OPEN TEAMS:

--- New York Yankees - a perennial contender that had 98 wins in '07. Heavy hitters with most of the real life team intact including A-Rod, Jeter, Cano, Damon, Matsui, Sheffield and Posada.

--- San Francisco Giants - a young upstart contender with some salary cap room. Top players include Matt Cain, Craig Whitaker, Armando Benitez, Derek Lee and A.J. Pierzinski. Their pitching staff is young and top notch, but their offense needs a little work. Plenty of good young arms and some decent hitters in their minors system.
