That's why I'm not a real fan.
Then there arent any 'real fans' in the USA. Who could afford alll those cross country trips?

A fax would be the best thing. Its much harder to ignore than an email.

I wonder if we couldnt take the player files from 2007 and insert them into the 2006 game? That way, only one person would have to buy the game.

I would suggest you can't, but even if you could it would be useless as you can't change the game's start date (everything would be a year ahead of what it should be).

So, even if you start a game in FM2006 with the English league only, saved it; took the English league player files from 2007 and inserted them into 2006; that wouldnt work?

Nope. Because the database data is copied into the league file when you first start your game, so it can't be changed.

Btw, it's good to read that the USA have accepted an invite to play in next year's Copa America. They and Mexico should be playing in it to improve their international experience at the highest level.

Ah well, with your departure, I guess that will slow the speed of posts to this thread.

I agree. We used to play in it. Hopefully, Klinnsman will be our coach by then. But the Mexicans are also trying to sign him.

The fire trucks are gone already. I was expecting to see something a little more exciting.

From Bill Plaschke from Around the Horn and the LA Times..

Quote:
Bill Plaschke:
Bring Back Nomar? No Way

Fan-favorite Garciaparra has been great, but the Dodgers must turn first base over to Loney
October 11, 2006

Tighten your batting gloves. Tap your toes. Adjust your wrist band. Dig in and listen.

The guy who helped lift up the Dodgers is the same guy who could drag them down.

The guy who pulled fans to their feet is the same guy who could bring them to their knees.

Only two days into their winter, and the answer to the Dodgers' biggest question is already clear, and concise, and contracted.

Don't.

Don't re-sign Nomar Garciaparra.

Don't block the development of James Loney.

Don't spend money on questionable legs and a tender torso when you could spend it on a power hitter or pitcher.

Shame we don't get to see Copa America here. And it would sure be interesting to see how the Americans are received in Venezuela. Maybe they could kidnap Landon Donovan, and then you'll never have to see him again.
