Our bababui may not like the latest rumour that Beckham could be going to Los Angeles Galaxy, it would be perfect imo, a player who is famous for other things than the talent or lack of it he has mixing with actors and actresess who are more famous for how thin they are than their talent, the King of Ego's goes to the Kingdom of Ego's (Hollywood) perfect (Whats the odds of Queen Ego having her own talk show on US tv by next year).

Anyways 20 years after the war he's officiating in a game between England who had helped Russia and Germany who had been trying to invade Russia, now I'm no mind reader but if I was him and a 50/50 decision came along I know which team I'd give the benefit of the doubt to
Well, being german, I happened to see this "goal" a lot and I'm pretty sure the ball wasn't over the line at full volume. But anyway, every time I see it I gringe seconds before the shot: How on earth could Hurst be so completely unmarked at the edge of the 5m-area???? O.k., his shot was crap and he can count his blessings that he didn't hit it over the goal but alone for this awful defense the german team displayed, they deserved everything they got. After Hurst was able to recieved the ball it should be a sure goal no matter what happened later.

As I've said before the re-election process was used (abused?) by southern clubs to get rid of the northern clubs.

Rub it in why don't you? Yeah, I'm an idiot for even liking Donovan, as he is junk. I know what you are saying.

It's been proved not to have been a goal but Bakhramov never claimed to have seen it go over the goaline, he gave it because he thought it had hit the roof of the net and not the crossbar so in fact it not going over the line or going over the line never really came into play on deciding if it was a goal as he had already given a goal, not only the bad defending is over looked but also the pass by Bobby Moore to Hurst for the fourth goal is over looked I know being a Bobby Moore fan makes me biased but it's a stunning pass..

Interesting team news as goalkeeper Jakup Mikkelsen, who has conceded six in losses to Georgia and Scotland, remains in goals for Faroe Islands in their home Euro 2008 qualifier against Lithuania.

And an interesting headline from UEFA.com - "Andorra take new direction"
To save you reading it, it means they are going to turn left instead of right when they first come on to the pitch.

Probably because the back up Faroe Islands goalkeeper conceded 8 in both of his last two games jk, no idea if anyone can get the Wales game outside of Britain, maybe on tape delay ? Anyway I wont spoil it but you have to watch it, it's like they came out and said lets not defend and have it first to 10 wins

He must have felt good it's 0-0 at half time, wonder what the record is for not conceding a goal in Faroe Islands history ? 45 minutes ?

Hey what's with all these rolleyes, dude? You seem a bit fiery today.

I'm wondering whether to actually answer, but Faroe Islands have got shutouts before now - the last time was a 1-0 win over Liechtenstein in a friendly in 2002; the last time in a competitive game was also a 1-0 win over Luxembourg in a World Cup qualifier in 2001.

San Marino have followed up their 13-0 drubbing at home by Germany, by shipping a further 7 without reply in the Czech Republic.

Brigitte Bardot, Gérard Depardieu, Marcel Marceau, Jacques Chirac your boys took one hell of a beating.

The three games in Group D of Euro 2008 qualifying today yielded an amazing 20 goals. Slovakia beat Wales 5-1 in Cardiff, Cyprus eased by Republic of Ireland 5-2 in Nicosia, and as I said earlier Czech Republic downed hapless San Marino in Liberec 7-0.

Fears regarding the manager of the month curse proved unfounded; we beat East Thurrock 2-0 with a Boot brace, both coming shortly after half time. We got almost the ideal set of results elsewhere with virtually all the top clubs dropping points so we suddenly find ourselves four points clear at the top of the table, with the most goals scored and the least conceded, with the last unbeaten record in the division. Hard to imagine a better start to the season, and certainly more than any of us dared hope for.

There was a rather scary moment near the end involving the opposition keeper. He took a blow to the head going for a fifty-fifty and was in a very bad way indeed. The lad was receiving treatment on the pitch for the best part of quarter of an hour and at one point it wasn’t looking good at all. Fortunately the St Johns ambulance guys did their usual sterling job until the paramedics arrived, and this evening the reports from hospital are good.

Today highlighted how our crowds are impacted by EPL football on the box and the local league sides. Without any competition today we pulled in a crowd of 800, and that against a club who don't bring many at all.

One controversy during the finals comes as Argentina need to beat Peru by at least 4 goals to quailify for the final and go on to beat them 6-0, what made it more of a controversy is that Peruvian goalkeeper Quiroga was born in Argentina and had let in only 6 goals in his previous 5 games, imo the best World Cup so far as been the 78 World Cup.

I already knew of those thoughts, but I thought most over there thought the ball went in because it actually went in, not because it gave you guys a world cup title.

Personally I thought he'd wind up in LA eventually for the reasons you mentioned and the fact that they actually have a soccer-specific stadium which is arguably the pride of the US Federation and MLS. It would make sense to do it for next season with the Galaxy missing out on the playoffs for the first time in the history of the league (thanks to a 2-1 loss to FC Dallas yesterday), and they'll want to pair their marquee American with their Marquee player.

Thought it would make sense to send him to the Red Bulls too with them being able to afford paying him outside of the regular team and them being on the verge of missing the playoffs as well. They aren't drawing as well as the Galaxy do, and I don't believe they're generally as big either with the Galaxy having won two titles and the Red Bulls never really accomplishing anything.
