Nation Flags
When this game first came out, many people were wanting to put in every country in the world into the game, and wondered where to get flags of said nations.
Now, I don't know if this is still a problem, but while researching something for college, I stumbled upon the single greatest site in the universe for national flags and a country list, the flags of which are all a consistent size and can be scaled down for the game's purposes. The CIA World Factbook. Who knew? Anyway, I figured I'd provide the link here. One of these days when I'm less busy, I'll just download all the flags myself, ZIP 'em, and post 'em here. Because I care like that. https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications...ook/index.html

The CIA World Factbook is a great resource. Or, at least, it used to be. Who knows, now. Given the current politicization of the Agency, I would rather get my facts elsewhere.
And I'd rather not get any CIA cookies on my computer by visiting their website.

If you want to be really up to date, use this site:
http://users.skynet.be/hermandw/fl/smalgifs.html The guy knows his flags and even caught the Lesotho flag change immediately. The only downside is that the flags are not quite as pretty as on other sites, but when it comes to accuracy, his site is absoultely excellent. |

Here are some links to various area studies from my library's website.
http://faculty.ccc.edu/colleges/dale.../area/area.htm My favorite flag site is the massive FOTW--Flags of the World, and the Scottish Clan flag site. Bear |
