Quick Question about Waivers and Spring Training

Hi,

Two quick questions:

1. When I try to claim a player off waivers, it says accepted and then i do not end up with the player, but rather he is released. I have plenty of money, so i do not thinkt that is the issue. Any idea?

2. I am using the Cubbyfan roster set (which is amazing by the way), but when i started a sim before, i had spring training. It seems as though this new sim, there is no spring training. I did not touch any of the game setup either time for spring training - any idea?

I am sure these are both simple questions and may have been asked before, but any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Matt

1) While the claim may have been accepted, there is some likelihood the player was removed from waivers after your claim (provided he could be). This is an difficult area to track. In fact, in order to ensure your claim remains valid, you have to click on the player profile of the claimed player and view his Contract/Status. Any given day (dependent on the length of your Waiver time), if your claim is still in force you should see On Waivers, Claimed by Alabama or such. If he is not on waivers, he may have been pulled back or another team has claimed him, etc...

2) My only suspicion is that it is related to the specific roster set. In short, I haven't a clue. If I read you right, this isn't a second season of the same sim but a new sim using the same roster, right? In that case, I'm even more in the dark. Sorry.

Thank you for replying.

With the waiver situation, I claim the player and then the next day, he is released...almost as if they ignored the claim.
