Seahawks
If anyone could help out here that would be a huge help. Here's a logo from the NFL's Seahawks that I'll be using. However, I still haven't found any good way to cut out the white from the background and have it transparent.
So, if anyone could do that with the logo and the lettering it would be great, and 150x150 also. If anyone has any good techniques to use, let me know as I've been fiddling around and am getting somewhat decent with logos but sure have a long ways to go.

How is this?
I downloaded from sportslogos and it did not include the white background that you posted. What I did,to get it in 150x150, was to save the image twice and then, with one of them, I got the head stretched and positioned where I thought it would look good and then erased all the script. With the second one, I just used the script to get it into the 150x150. Just a tip you might be able to use in the future. Sometimes getting non-squared images can be a little tricky....such as the one you posted. Last edited by truthserum; 02-24-2008 at 05:01 AM. |

Awesome work truthserum. Yeah, I noticed afterwards this one didn't have the white background at first, don't know what I was thinking, lol.
Yeah, resizing some of those odd shape ones are a pain in the butt. Any tips on logos that do have a white background on them? Thanks again!

What program are you using? I use photoshop and the eraser and magic eraser make it a snap, to get rid of backgrounds.

I've never used that....but I used to make logos with Picture it! and it did not have a background eraser. What I would have to do is, do a cutout to get rid of the background. It is tedious work, for sure.

Yeah, I've tried the cutout way, lol. I may just download the Photoshop trial since it's mega expensive for me at the present time. Thanks again for all the help.

Joe, doesn't PSP have a "magic wand" function you can use to select all the white?

Yeah, using some tutorials I found I figured some out, lol. I also downloaded GIMP and have been bouncing between that and PSP 8.
Here's a Saints logo Faroo6 made for me awhile ago. It had a white background when I started. I added it into a circle and put a drop shadow on it. Beginner stuff I know, but I'm proud, lol.
