Turn off minor league refusal?

Is there a way in 2006 to turn off minor league refusal? We have waivers turned off. Thus, no DFA or option years. However, our vets are still refusing demotion. We were able to demote them in v6.5. Has something changed there?

I am pretty sure there is an option in the LEAGUE SETUP that has this. Not sure if that can be changed during the seaosn though...

You have to turn off Minor League Options I believe.

Sporr: Could you clarify this, please?

I thought that the minor league options were used to control how many times you could send a major league player to the minors without having to send the player through waivers. The right to refuse a minor league assignment is determined by a player's major league service time. Is this correct?

Why should turning off minor league options affect the right to refuse minor league assignments? Or is this simply a case of "that's the way it works?" Either way, knowledge is power, as they say.

I'm basing this off of memory, so hopefully I'm correct. There are 2 buttons. One enabled/disabled waivers and the other options. The options button, when turned off, would allow players to freely by placed in the minors. This applied even to those players who would normally refuse assignment. You can think of it like an options/assignment toggle.

The problem is that when you choose to turn off waivers, the options option disappears from the menu, because they aren't to be used. It would seem that the refusals should stop as well. We have no DFA, because we have no waivers on.

HELP!
