UBL opens initial draft..........

We've started our initial draft and we'd like to see everyone come to our forums and have fun with us as we merge Negro and PCL players with the MLB players of 1927!!

Plus, you can get our FIRST league file prior to the draft commencing so you, too, can see what would have happened had baseball been integrated way back when!! It includes about 50 pix of NL and PCL players and is ready for an initial draft.

How long until I crack and have to pick my favorite pitcher of all time?

you mean CF Oscar Charleston? i targeted him from the beginning, and was glad to see him still sitting there at #9.

he's a Homestead Gray, as he's meant to be

If I was in the league, he'd be at the top of my list. I was slightly disappointed in his ratings, though. They're very good, but he has been universally named the greatest Negro League player ever by many experts. I thought he'd be a bit higher.

Be sure to watch the drama unfold as the Yankees and Hollywood stars apparently refuse to integrate!

I expect both teams will be integrated soon enough.

The Cincinnati Redlegs have obtained half of the "million dollar infield" of the Baltimore Black Sox (Lundy and Marcelle), and half of the great Detroit Stars infield (Riggins and Wesley). We're very please with how our draft is going . Feel free to give your opions either here or at the UBL forums.

The Homestead Grays are putting an early claim on favorites for the first UBL crown. With a lineup featuring top negro stars Oscar Charleston and Martin DiHigo as well as MLB greats Bob Meusel and Ken Williams, not to mention a staff anchored by Jesse Haines and Jakie May, the pennant is virtually guaranteed!
