Yes, buttons disappear.
Don't know if this has a TT#, but it's been brought up several times. Fairly certain everyone is experiencing this.

I had seen a lot of discussion about the buttons overlapping (the scouting and splits stuff when you have ratings and stats on the same screen), but I hadn't seen much about the buttons randomly disappearing. And yes, I had searched.

But since you sounded annoyed with me for bringing this up again

I did a little more searching - and found a thread about this issue with the title "Tabs missing". Since technically these aren't tabs (well, technically, they aren't buttons either - they're drop-downs or combo boxes) I hadn't searched for that initially.

Anyway, long story short (too late), there are several threads about this issue that have been merged here and a couple of different trouble tickets open for it, so now anyone searching for "missing tabs" or "disappearing buttons" should be able to find info on it.

Nah, I'm not annoyed. When I post something about a possible bug I don't even do a search, I look at the first two pages of posts and if it's not there I make another.

Just doing too many things at once today... I hate fish tanks btw.

All of a sudden I have the missing button syndrome in the transaction screen. One day there are all the buttons the next day one is missing. next day it is another button that is gone

Found out if you switch for the free agent screen to the upcomng free agent screen and back the buttons come back. I feel like the Nextel commercial. "Do you talk to the dots...do the dots talk back...are you messing with my dots

Sigh... sad to say this is still happening in 1.0.3. Do you know how annoying it is to want to be able to change your scouting drop-down or filter drop-down and have it not be there, so you have to click off to a different screen and come back, hoping it will be there this time?

If you don't know how annoying it is - don't worry, you probably soon will.

And since 1.0.3 is heralded as the final patch, I guess the chance of this getting fixed in a minor bug maintenance patch is highly unlikely. Sigh.

I was never able to duplicate this... try deleting your data\tables folder, maybe that fixes it...

Thanks Markus - I will give that a try.

Well I'm glad to hear at least that it isn't necessarily happening to everyone - perhaps I'm just unlucky. I'll give that a shot and post back if it works.

Nope... sadly deleting the data\tables folder didn't work.

Markus, the way I can seem to always duplicate it is by going to the league Transactions screen and clicking through each of the tabs there (Free Agents, Waiver Wire, Show All Players, etc.) and clicking on some of the sub tabs (like "Free Agents" and "Upcoming Free Agents" for the Free Agents tab). If that doesn't work, go to one of the team screens and do the same thing clicking throught tabs there (Roster, Lineups, Pitching, Depth Charts) and click on the sub tabs. Eventually, you might see one of the four drop-down combo boxes disappear.

If not, then I wonder how mine started happening. Maybe I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that fixes it.

You have to do a lot of clicking around for this to happen. Markus, you should try clicking around A LOT, back and forth among screens. This only happens for me when I've been doing a lot of clicking back and fourth among rosters, free agents, customized sorts, etc.

Uninstall and re-install didn't work either. At first I thought maybe it did, but after I did enough clicking (specifically in the League Transactions section), it started happening again.

I'm just grasping at straws here, but since some people can't seem to re-produce this thing no matter what and others get it almost constantly, could it have anything to do with DirectX versions or something to that effect? I doubt the new version has any DirectX requirements (since it works on Mac too), but I'm wondering if there's some kind of "Windows routines" that it uses that might not be upgraded on some machines (the ones that don't work) but are on others (the ones that do work).

I have a feeling whatever causes the "button overlap" and the "button disappearance" is the same issue, since Markus can't duplicate either of them.

Only because hefalumps is the only post on here since 1.03, please let me echo his complaint and his assertion that it was not fixed in 1.03. The problem happens frequently, and can be worked around in the manner that he describes; i.e., click to another page and use the drop-down there, then return and perhaps the drop-down you want has reappeared.
