FBBL - Two Contenders Open
The FBBL [ http://fbbl20.ho8.com/index.html ] is an old league having began on OOTP 2 over 4 years ago, now. We restarted the league March of this year and we're now around the mid-point of our second season. We're a stable league and a very active league [as you can see on our message board].
The two open teams are as follows. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pittsburgh Pirates - 42-35 / 2.5 GB in Division / 1.5 GB in Wildcard STORY: The Pirates are working on their third GM in two seasons. Why GM's keep flaking on this team is anyone's guess. An excellent and young core of players which includes Travis Hafner, Barry Zito, Roy Oswalt, Javier Vazquez, Garrett Anderson etc... the Pirates are constantly in the playoff hunt. They make money, generate ticket sales and revenue.... what's not to love? LINK: http://fbbl20.ho8.com/index/team19.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------- San Diego Padres - 37-40 / 7 GB in Division / 6.5 GB in Wildcard STORY: The Padres have had one owner up until this past week. The previous owner had to leave due to personal reasons and we wish him the best. The Padres are a young team with a lot of promise and they're still in the thick of things in the NL. They've hovered around .500 all season long and with a core of Zach Greinke, Dontrelle Willis, Jose Reyes, David Wright and Chase Utley they are built for the longhaul. LINK: http://fbbl20.ho8.com/index/team27.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Both of these teams are in excellent shape so it's not like you'd be taking over a team crippled by the previous regimes baggage. Both teams are just a piece or two away from being serious contenders in the NL. So, now you know about the teams here's what you need to know about the league. We have a 3-day a week sim schedule which is Sunday/Wednesday/Friday. We started the league with a dispersal draft and our upcoming AMA drafts will be populatedwith the real rookies that were selected in the 2005 AMA draft. Next year we will have the real 2006 AMA draft players. If interested in any of these teams please e-mail me at avwjase@yahoo.com Thanks! A link to our league's homepage is in my sig. Hope to see you there! |

We have completed our second season and heading into season three we have one team open. Here is the info on the team.
--------------------------------------- Minnesota Twins - http://fbbl20.ho8.com/main/team10.html Record since League Began: 177-150, .541% One playoff appearance and One AL Central Title Key Vets: Ichiro, Milton Bradley, Eric Byrnes, Melvin Mora, Richard Hidalgo etc... Farm System rank: 20th led by Adam Ricks 2B, 26th best spect in the league Story: The Twins are in a slight rebuild mode after losing a few key players to free agency but with great looking rookies like Adam Ricks, Brendan Ryan, Deacon Burns etc... they're headed in the right direction. The Twins are one of the winningest franchises in the FBBL. Only 6 teams have posted a better 2-year W/L record than the Twins. The previous and original owner had to abandon the team because of National Guard duty. They're a perfect team if you like to rebuild teams but don't want to step into a nightmare. The Twins are solid financially, have some solid young talent and some solid veteran leadership. We run on OOTP 6.5 If interested please PM me here, contact me on aim at tapouttodamasta or e-mail me at avwjase@yahoo.com Link to the league in my sig.
