International leagues

Is there any way to set nation of players in divisions of international leagues?

Am trying to set up 48 team league with 12 from usa, 3 each from PR, DR, cuba and mexico in americanas league and 6 each from japan, korea, taiqwan and china. Any way to get players from proper countries????

AFAIK, there is no way to do this. I mentioned this as a possible future feature. It'd be real nice.

I believe you can only designate national origin at the league level.

Thought that was just hoping, but this just bout eliminates any international functionality, so why have the ability to do it if it won't work with national players. be a bit of a chore to edit all players.

What I've done is do a separate league for each country I want to deal with and then do any worldwide playoffs via the exhibition function. It's about as good as it gets right now, which is actually pretty good.

I'm hoping we see the international functionality come to full use by next year's version though.

Actually, the international functionality is good. Like enuttage said you just have to create a universe with multiple leagues, and then it is possible to limit the ammount of foreign players in those leagues, and you can even prevent players in those leagues from defecting to another country via Free Agency.
