Vanishing draft picks

One issue I've seen: Twice now when I've traded for No. 1 draft picks, I haven't gotten them when it comes to the amateur draft. Meaning, I saw the Dodgers had the top overall pick, and traded a good player to get the pick, and then when the draft came, the Dodgers still picked first.

Interestingly, I know the trade went through because I had pulled up the Dodgers for a 2nd trade before the draft, and noticed that they no longer had a No. 1 draft pick. And I had two (you can tell because you can put draft picks in all five drop-down windows and after your 1st round picks are exhausted, it won't let you trade any more of them).

Has anyone seen this? Is it something that can be added to the next patch?

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond to this thread.

I haven't been able to replicate this problem. Is there a scenario you are able to create in which this happens regularly? Do you have a saved game in which the reports show that you traded for their pick, and that they actually executed the pick instead of you?

Others have run into this also.....My current Solo League has been on hold for weeks now (sigh)....I will lose 2 Picks that I traded great players for, if I run the draft at the moment.

This appears to be an unintended result of the latest patch. No current word on when this might be fixed as far as I know.

There are a couple other threads about this, but I am a a novice poster and haven't spotted a button to find/insert a link...

I second (or third) this complaint. I have traded for draft picks in the past and never wind up getting them. If, however, I trade away my draft picks, or have them taken as a result of signing compensation, I definitely lose those.

When you are seeing this occur, do you also have compensation picks for free agent signings turned on?

If anyone can come up with a scenario under which we can replicate this every time, it would greatly assist in resolving the issue.

Again, bit of a novice here, so unsure what you mean by 'scenario'...

In general, it appears to be exactly what has been guessed at, where the 'protection' for the worst teams draft picks that normally applies to FA compensation is now (post-patch) also being applied to previously traded away draft picks. *note* I personally aquire the draft picks mid-season, I've never traded for a pick at the winter meetings - too expensive at that point - so unsure if those picks would be lost also.

Can reproduce every time by trading for the worst 4+ teams first round picks at the trade deadline (suggest making the deadline near end of season for this test) and then seeing them regain the picks from you (for free) on draft day.

If by 'scenario' you are looking for a specific League in this position that can download files showing the problem, I am currently stuck on draft day in that situation. Give me the word (and point me towards a 'how to') and I'd be happy to download whatever ya need

Fixed in 1.0.3! Although this fix will not take care of problems in already traded picks from previous versions.
