BPLA Waiting Lists

For those of you out there that are looking to join leagues, the BPLA is now accepting names for its waiting list. The BPLA is a unique fictional league with some twists on the rules.

As far as I know, we are the only league with drug testing, have the option for franchise players (a way for teams to hold on to those high priced superstars) and many other things.

I think if you take a look at the rules and perhaps talk to the other owners, you will see that it is a fun and exciting league. And the league is only 14 sim days old!!

So check it and sign up for the waiting list if interested.

How does the drug testing work?

Drug testing

Each month a team is randomly chosen, and each player from that team (all levels - major and minor) are run through a random number generator. The percertanges are different for different types of players, ie a 37 year LF'er who hits 73 homeruns is more likely to be on the juice than a 22 year old .220 hitting shortstop. The percentages are low enough that not many players test positive (I ran a test of this for 9 seasons worth of testing, very few tested positive).

If a player were to test positive, he faces the penalty for the given drug. Once he finishes his suspension, he is tested again to see if he is sober.

I'm in this league and it is extremely cool!! The commish works on it day and night and the owners are quite creative. Plus, we just started!

(One other unique twist to this fictional league ... each team has one actual MLB player on it.)

The BPLA unique substance abuse rules and it's customization made me glad I choose it. Why not join I think we might expand soon.

So glad this league is going strong. I was really pulling for it!

Don't have the time to apply for it right now but if my situation change I would jump here in a second.

Thanks, JAttractive for the support. Waiting lists are open for everyone, those on the list become the first (in order of reception) to know of openings in the league.

The first month of the season has gone of rather successfully, with several great players emerging.

Even if you aren't interested in signing up, check out the site and the boards. Comments and suggestions about design and layout are always appreciated!!
