Damn AI
Can someone help me out, I think I asked this before, but not much help
![]() Basically, I have the AI managing roster moves in my organisation (like I can handle everything in an organisation that has like 7 different teams incl. minors). The trouble is, the damn manager keeps putting good players on waivers and assignment, meaning that I either have to release him or fiddle with the rosters and then the next day have the same problem. This is realyl starting to bug me. Is there a way that I can have the AI mange roster moves in just the minors, and i will control who goes on the active and 40-man rosters only? Also, is there a good fictional world template from the olden days which has far fewer minor teams? Maybe I will just have to learn how to micro manage

Nope. You have to manage all levels of the minors, or watch the AI wreak havoc on your roster. It's an unfortunate "bug" or more accurately "feature" that the AI runs wild with roster moves.
I"m sure that it will be fixed at some point. Until then, we have to figure out how to work around it. There has to be a wayy.

It just seems stupid when I need a spare RF, to watch the manager decide he will put Trot Nixon on Assignment, and keep 3 SS's on the active roster.

Have yourself control roster management (promotions, demotions, etc) and just have the AI setup your minor leagues every couple of weeks.

Yes. Set it so you're handling promotions, demotions, etc under the Manager homepage. There's an option for the AI to organize the whole minor league system (not the majors) under one of the dropdown menus at the bottom on your transactions tab.

I have those exact settings, yet my AI keeps messing with my lineups when I'm set to control the major league roster. How can I fix this?
The only thing I have set to AI is the minors, the rest are controlled by me. |

We've got like three threads going at once on the same topic, it seems. Rather than going through it all again, take a look at what we posted on the "Goofy Platoons/Line Up Changes" thread: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=129769 The person that I was talking to seemed happy with the result of what we worked out.
