Historical League Problem - Can't find database

I searched the forum and could not find any reference to the problem I having. I was going along great with my hsitorical league, got up to about 1912 and did something that messed up my league. So I deleted the league and started a new one.

I started in 1901, showed the bat th the Lahman Db as C:\stats and the game found this and oaed the players for 1901 with no problem. When it came time to go to 1902, I pointed again to C:\statas when prompted and this time it says it can not find the database and gerated fictional players.

I wonder why it was able to find the database when I set up the league and not when I tried to go to a new year, especiallywhen it worked before.

I am using the Lahman Db 5.3, csv version. I also turned off my virus checker, adware and spam blocers as well a firewall and still the saem result. Also a few times when I tried going to 1902 I got a an error with a box asking if i wanted to send the information to Microsoft. When I checked don't send, the game is in 1902 but there are no fictional or newe historical players, just the same players from 1901.

So am not sure what I might be doing wrong and would appreciate any help. Feel like i am in a Ground Hog day loop and can't get out.

Thanks.

I was able to fix the problem by using Lahman 5.2 instead of the lahman 5.3 database. The game can now find the path to C:\ststas and load the historical rookies so it seems to be working OK.

Is this version of the game not compatible with lahman 5.3?

The only version of the game that can be used w/ 5.3 is 2006.

Thanks. I must have overwritten my stats folder with when I installed the 2006 version. SO now I have 2 separate folders for each and all is well.

Now if I can only get the Cubbies to the series.....
