This Game Hates the Cubs!
It's 1980 and the Cubs are trying to keep a lead against the Mets. In the 7th inning, starting pitcher Dennis Lamp is removed and replaced with rookie Lee Smith, making his major league debut. On a 2-0 count, he get's a come-backer, makes the play, and throws Elliot Maddox out at 1st base. Oh, the trainer is coming out, Lee Smith looks hurt. Apparently, he tore his rotator cuff and is out for 6 weeks. So, one of my top draft picks throws 3 pitches in his debut and then goes on the 60-Day DL. I know people have joked about Markus coding up the Cubs curse ... but, come on! At least it wasn't an CEI!

Hey, you can't say the game isn't realistic.

You've uncovered another element of the game's comeback code.

Next to recreating a realisitc experience of playing baseball in Ghana, screwing over the Cubs in every way possible was what the beta team spent all their time on.
This is why you have an awful bug ridden game. Enjoy

There's a lot of ways to respond to this. I think I'll stick with this:
OOTP and God both hate the Cubs.

I wonder what would happen if I renamed them the Chicago C*bs?

Lahman imports are never good for the Cubs - even the '69 team turns out pretty crappy (with the exception of Santo).

The word "curse" is code for: sucked for a long time due to rediculously bad ownership and sucker fans.

True story: I once ran a fictional league in 6.5 and had a team named the Chicago Cubs...never even made the playoffs in 65 years.
