No Triple A

I recently started a new career on the game and I have encountered a bit of a problem. When I go to the Reds roster and go to the Transactions screen I look for their AAA team and they're not listed as having one. So I go into league setup and see if they are actually assigned a AAA team and it shows them as having one, the Louisville Bats... anyway I can get this to show up on the transactions screen.

If you're looking at the screen I think you are, the selection is - for whatever reason - not including them. Perhaps another box is duplicated. Who knows? But my suggestion is to utilize the pulldown tab at the corner of one of the boxes and select AAA and see if it replaces that box.

For some reason, the game does not always order your affiliates correctly in the drop down menus. My current league lists AA first, then AA and Single-A. This may be why you aren't seeing this immediately. Follow endgame's instructions and you should be fine.

This is a minor bug that should be looked at.

What version are we talking about for the error DB? What version of the game are you using? So we can narrow down where this needs to go for further TS help.

My error: The pull-down menus listing my teams AA, AAA, A.
Using patched version.

DB just needs to use the pull-down menu to access his AAA squad, and is not really an error.

I'm sorry for the awfully slow response to this thread.

Obviously, some time has passed since you posted this issue, and the 1.0.2 patch has since been released as well. Are you still seeing this issue? I have not been able to reproduce it so far.

Please let me know!

Thanks,

Steve

I've seen this one quite a bit in 1.02. Post #3 in this thread is spot on.

Can anyone give me a screenshot, or post an exact game configuration that causes this "out of order" drop-down to appear?

Thanks,

Steve

I noticed this in a league that used Tigerfan's Quickstart Fictional 1930's universe template.

There are 3 levels of minors in this league for MLB teams: Double A, Single A, and Short A. And not all of the teams' default configurations look like this. Some are correct and other have a different order.

I may be a total doofus, but what is out of order? I thought we were talking about the Affiliated Teams drop-down in the lower right...

No. Look at the first post. Transaction screen.. drop-down menus. It isn't obvious that the default way the transcation screen is setup is funky?

Alright, but does your screen shot show the problem? The issue is in the drop-downs, right?

Or do I just need a vacation?

Yes. One would expect the default drop-downs to list the MLB team followed by their top 3 affiliates in order. Like mentioned before, it's not a huge deal as you can manually switch things around to your liking. However, I'm not so sure if they aren't getting switched around without user input. If that's the case, this is an annoyance that should probably get looked at.

FWIW, the default for freshly created fictional leagues is Active/Active/Triple-A/40-man for the 4 views. (Whether that's sensible or not is an interesting question, of course.) The equivalent for that Tigerfan world template would be Active/Active/Double-A/40-man for the MLB teams, and for 9 out of 16 teams that's exactly what shows up. 4 teams show Active/Active/Active/40-man, 2 have Active/Active/Single-A/40-man, 1 has Active/Active/Short-A/40-man.

For the latter 3 teams, the "Affiliated Teams" dropdown is messed up, as well. (See attached screenshots.) Wagering a guess, the affiliations for those teams might have been set up out of order (e.g. Single-A assigned first) when the whole setup was created.

I'm not sure what went wrong for the 4 teams that get a third Active Roster window instead of a "highest affiliated team" window.
