Contraction questions

Has anybody out there ever contracted teams? What happenes in the game when oyu do it? At what point in the season do you do it?

I would think before a season begins, you will need to generate a new schedule once you have done this and remember that each "league" must have an even number of teams or you will crash trying to create a schedule.
