Bug: HTML inconsistency in naming causing page not to load

I don't know if this will be an issue for everyone, but at least on my site it is one.

http://ootp.zoudave.com

I think almost every single link works. However, there's one set of links that don't work.

If you're here http://ootp.zoudave.com/history/league_100_index.html and you click on one of the letters, the page loads. For example, if you clicked on the C you'd get http://ootp.zoudave.com/history/leag..._letter_c.html

And it's fine.

But, if you go here http://ootp.zoudave.com/history/leag...ers_index.html and click on the C you get http://ootp.zoudave.com/history/leag..._letter_C.html and it doesn't work.

vs
http://ootp.zoudave.com/history/leag..._letter_C.html

Same link, but that capital letter at the end of the 2nd link is why it's not working for me. In theory it shouldn't make a difference, but I know it's nothing I'm doing because I'm just creating the site and uploading it. Pretty minor, but should be really easy to fix.

non-related, but at least in the same ballpark.

This bug is mainly cosmetic:

http://ootp.zoudave.com/history/leag...ams_index.html

If you look at the Braves and the Dodgers you'll see what I'm talking about. If a team has changed city and/or nickname more than once, the alternate names are listed without spaces. Instead of the text below the link saying "Brooklyn Robins, Brooklyn Dodgers" it says "Brooklyn RobinsBrooklyn Dodgers"

Can this be fixed? It would make it look a lot better.

And then, also, another question on this same page.

The Reds were known as the Cincinnati Reds when I started my league in 1920. In 1953 they changed to the Red Legs. In 1959 they changed back to the Reds. This is noted properly under their team name, as you just see the one different name.

With the Braves, it's different. They started off as the Boston Braves. They became the Boston Bees 1936 and then back to the Braves in 1941. They then moved to Milwaukee in 1953. So shouldn't the only thing listed in the text under Milwaukee Braves be "Boston Braves, Boston Bees"? We see from the Cincinnati example that it seems to understand when you've changed and changed back, because the Reds do not list "Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Red Legs" under the link for Cincinnati Reds.

Thanks!

shameless self-bump, simply because I want to make sure the team has at least seen this bug and is aware of it.

This is the issue that bothers me. It bothered me in CatoBase when it would only recognize changes in the teams abrevs so when you change the Giants abrev from NY to NYG you get the New York Giants with a past name New York Giants. Bugged the hell out of me.

ZouDave,

Sorry for the horrendously slow response to this thread. Trying to keep up with the new post-patch threads while pecking away at the older ones.

Regarding these three issues you raised:

I logged TT# 2148 for the case-sensitive problem with those URLs on the letter page.

The issue with the no spaces between changed names seems to be resolved.

The issue with the Boston Braves seems to be resolved.

These latter two were based on a quick, unscientific test I did. Please check it out using 1.0.2 and let me know if you agree!

Thanks,

Steve

This has been claimed fixed in the next patch, but has not been verified yet.

Thanks,
