Did I miss that the Demo time extension is now fixed?

Don't see it mentioned anywhere.

Just buy the game already. You know you want to.

No, because of the weekend (and time differences) it's been tough to get answers. I'm working on it though!

They should have a response to you in early- to mid- summer. Can't get more specific than that at this time.

This is silly. Just plain silly.

Maybe the game is not up to par yet and it is a good way for SI just to keep another group of people for be unhappy with it. The first demo sure got a lousy response even after patch#1. Oh well, after 5 versions I quit buying it last year and I can sure do without the game this year.

I've read your post 10 times now and still can't figure out what you're trying to say.

Yes, I am sure that Marc is holding out on extending the demo because they do not want people to play their game

I am sure that the official response is just a cover up.

I have to say that I'm really disappointed that this hasn't been resolved yet.

I, like more than a few people I imagine, was underwhelmed by the initial demo and wanted to see the game after some serious reworking had been completed. I was pleased to see the ASB price discount, giving me another reason to give OOTP2006 another chance at attracting my dollar. However, the clock is ticking on the price discount and I still haven't even been able to so much as open the program and check out the new changes.

I've very much enjoyed the previous versions of OOTP and I really, really want to give this game every chance possible. I can afford the game, discount or not, but I can't afford to not be choosy. I will note that 10 percent DOES make a significant difference to this buyer - it allows me to be a little more forgiving when it comes to making the decision of whether I will get an approrpriate return on my investment.

I will also note that not being able to provide me with more time to evaluate the updated program while the discount is in effect WILL be a negative factor in ultimately deciding whether I want to buy OOTP2006 - I wish that it wasn't, and I'm aware that at this point it is not in SI's hands, but unfortunately as a consumer I'm not in the business of making a company's problems my own. On the bright side for SI, I remain interested in reviewing the new demo when I am capable of doing so and may very well yet buy the program. On the downside, this decision is clearly going to be a more difficult one for me than it had to be. Thanks for reading.

Are they going to reset it for every patch that comes out this month?

I second the above that it is frustrating to have waited for this patch just to find out that I can't actually even try it because my demo from the buggy version expired.

Please Fix this issue. I hear PureSim is on sale very cheap right now, I am going to check it out. Maybe they will have a demo I can actually use.

Well just make sure you don't have IE7 beta because their demo won't work on it!

I'm as pissed about this as you guys, please believe that.

The last thing that I need is to have people who had a patch1 trial expire moaning that they cannot play patch 2. It's high on my priority list.

then what going to happen when patch #3, #4, etc comes out? Is it going to reset so we can try the demo with the latest version?

From the moment you start this one, you get 30 days and that will be it
