Newbie question - custom league
Hi all - two questions.....
Here's what I'd like to do with the game, and I think I've got the answer but I'm looking for either confirmation or a better way to do it. I want to create a custom fictional league with MLB players, using only 12-16 teams. After looking around the site I came across this as a method to do accomplish this.... Create a historical league with an inaugural draft. I believe you can set the start date and import year differently so you should be able to get the years the way you want. After you click "Create game" but before you sim anything you can change the league structure to what you want. Is this this only way to create such a league? Second question - I've only been using the demo on trial thus far. Should I wait until Friday for a patch I've been hearing about to purchase the actual game? Thanks in advance <!-- / message --><!-- sig --> |

You are correct on the method to create a league that way. If you're trying to use current players from a roster set / quickstart, it will be possible to do this once the patch comes out on Friday. The "reset, release all, and draft" feature is coming back, so you could load up the quickstart, mess with the league structure, and then use that function. As for waiting for the patch, it really doesn't matter. It's not hard to patch the game at all, so it's exactly the same either way.
