Multiple Contracts?

I couldn't find this issue anywhere else on the board, so here's my problem...

During FA, I made an offer to a player that he rebuked. Apparently, he signed a contract in another league at the same time. Not realizing that, I upped my offer to him and he accepted. However, he did not show up on my team. Upon investigation, here's what I found...

11-18-2011 Became a free agent.
12-13-2011 Signed a 3-year contract worth a total of $3,360,000 with the Monclova Invaders organization.
12-20-2011 Signed a 3-year contract worth a total of $4,350,000 with the Mansfield Squidleys organization.

Both teams are Major League level, but in different leagues. Any ideas?

Did this take place in one continuous session, or did your game happen to crash at some point?

I'm asking because I've seen contradicting/doubled entries in player histories before, but invariably because a certain period of game time was played twice due to a crash.

as far as I know... I haven't moved on to the next season yet because I want to find out what the hell is going on first.

Ran into a problem as the league file is 70mb plus when zipped... can't email. Will work out something tonite. Work has me buried for a while so I couldn't play if I wanted to anyway.
