Minor League Problems

I am running a patched form of the game.

You fixed the problem of the GM of the MLB team messing with a minor league team lineup but the moves they are making are making the game just silly.

I am managing a rookie level minor league and at this point I am 4-5. In those 9 games I have only had 2 players still on my starting lineup and 1 starting pitcher left from the beginning of the season. Of that only 3 have been promoted the rest have been released. These have been my best players I have had multiple players batting over .325 released and closer with 3 saves and a 0.00 ERA released.

Its starting to take the fun out of the game. There are simply too many moves in the minor leagues. In real life there is nowhere near this amount of turnover in the minors. I live in a minor league baseball town and thats why I choose this team. We only had 4 guys promoted last season and very few out right released. I have had more than that in only 9 games of a 60 game season. If this keeps up I will turn over my entire roster 3 times before the season is out. A real team would give a player time to develop and or time generate a decent sampling of stats before releasing them.

Please fix this. I am begging you. - There was a similar problem with ITP, is there a reason the minors are so hard to program?

Have you gone past the first of a month? In the first version, I was managing a rookie league team. On July 1, the parent org made a bunch of moves. Then I managed after that, and they didn't make any more moves until Aug 1. The patch came out after that, and I started a new game with me managing at a different level. And I haven't made a month of that yet. So I don't know if it still does it that way.

As to the sanity of the moves, that's a whole nother question.

Time period

Your right on July 1st there was a flurry of moves most of which didn't make sense. But there were significant moves before that as well.

I think the main thing is the sanity of the moves which comes down to the quality of the AI.

You are correct and this is a prime point under attack.

FYI, I logged this as TT#2065, just so Markus is sure to take a look at it at some point.

Thanks,

Steve
