For us who run leagues and enjoy setting strategies for all teams, we really need a fix for this issue. I know for myself, I have not even been able to use the game yet, and I know others are going through the same thing. I like to play "GOD" mode, and control all teams. I am trying to not complain, but I would love once and for all a final word on this. I have also tried to e-mail you three times on this issue and have received no response.

- Added the ability to take control of every team in a league when in commish mode (league setup -> other functions menu)
Hope this clears it up for you.

There's a workaround which lets you set a league as essentially inactive when you set up your universe and then you can make the league active later on after some years have been simmed. It appears to work well. The method is described in this thread: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=125221

Marc/Markus,

I'm still trawling (as in large-scale fishing) for an answer as to whether draft sizes can be reduced to under 5 in this coming patch or in a future patch. If it can't, that's cool, but it would be good to know so that I can get on with working out modifiers that allow us to play leagues with no or one level of minors without being flooded by young players.

Any kind of answer will do at this point, even 'no, that's impossible'.

Actually it doesn't clear anything up, just lets us know that we will have to check and see how it works on patch day. Markus didn't think there was anything wrong with how it worked before this patch.

Does it mean it is all or nothing on the amount of teams this effects?
Or is it just a flag that is set on all teams that we can manually set like the disallow ai roster moves if we only want to control two or three teams?

Do we still have to assign managers to each team so that we are alerted to what ever notifications/stop options we set for each manager? Or are the notifications for all teams based off of the commisoner profile and we don't create managers for the teams now?

Hats off to Markus for getting the God mode players playing if this works. Still think I may be screwed on my end for only wanting to control 2 or 3 teams only.

I still think you have to add the managers but you can now mass control them and get the news etc.

No, I don't think that is how it works at all. I am going to test God mode in the latest build tonight when I get home. However, I think it is an "all or nothing" switch. I want to see if it will show you all the news and stuff as if you were the human GM, though.

Thanks for checking Solonor on how this new option works.

If you have time, could you please verify how the autosim stoppage options work? Does the game stop autosim for any of the teams? The problem has always been that you had no idea what was happening to any of the other teams that had a manager assigned to them besides the selected one.

I'm sure I'll find out on patch day but at least I won't be disappointed when it doesn't work the way I had hoped.

I took a quick peek at it at lunch. It does stop the sim. The only thing I saw were scout messages and players running out of time on DFA, though. I did not see any injury messages, but I didn't have time to verify if that was due to a lack of injuries.

The problem is that since it's "all or nothing" you really can't play as GM of more than one team at a time and have the others be computer run. So, there are no trade offers to respond to or anything like that.

If you want to play as a single team GM and have the other teams be computer, that works.
If you want to run all the teams with no computer AI, that works.
If you want the computer to run everything, that works.
If you want to run more than one team and have the computer run the rest, that works, but there is no way to run the sim and have it stop you with messages for more than one team at a time.

Thanks again for taking the time to look into this setup. The information was exactly what I was looking for though the outcome was not what I was wanting to see.

Maybe the structure of the game has changed too much and that is the best that can be done. At least you understood what I was asking about.

Thanks for the follow up, it does appear that what I am looking for, controlling all teams without any interference from the AI, will be available and I am pumped. Thanks
