New database available now

Please let me start with a big sorry for being so late. As most of you know in the meantime, I'm working on the baseball game and we're having a hard time since the latest release has been a complete rewrite, for both Mac and PC... well it's a lot of work. Please accept my sincere apologies!

Actually I had planned to bring the database update together with the "final" patch, but I didn't have a chance to create it yet. So here's just the database to unzip into the data folder.

How to install (please read carefully)

- Locate your TB program folder. Might be something like C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\Title Bout Championship Boxing 2, depending on where you've installed the program.
- Open the /data folder
- Open the /default folder
- rename the fighters.dat to fighters.org
- rename the ratingrecords.dat to ratingrecords.org
- download this file: http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/tb/fighters_2006-06-26.zip
- unzip it into the /data/default folder
- go back to that folder and you should now have a fighters.dat and a ratingrecords.dat again
- start the game, open the Game Options screen and create a new database - this new database will now use the latest data, because it has been created as a copy of the /data/default folder

I will definitely bring a new patch ASAP which will then include this database (or probably a newer version), too. I just cannot give a release data yet, sorry.

Have fun!

Thanks Andreas!

BTW, the Germans are looking strong in the World Cup. Hopefully they'll win it @ home again just like back in '74.

Sweet, thanks for the new database. No worries on the delay we understand that OOTB is taking up most of ya'lls time.

Thanks Andreas (& Jim),

All good things come to those who wait. Oh yeah, I'm now supporting Germany in the World Cup, seeing that the Aussies got beaten by Italy and are eliminated.

Cheers,

Shane.

We've all been hoping that the Aussies win against Italy, but well... that's football Next time probably!
Now I'm looking forward to Friday. Germans against Argentina. Well I guess after that game the German team can party together with the Aussies, but who knows, at least we've got a small chance to win it.

I think Deutschland will beat Argentina. I watched their game against Sweden and Germany could've won 10-0. Ballack, Podolski and Klose will cause Argentina some big headaches. Go Germany (now that Australia's out).

Active and Retired ratings

First, thanks for the updated DB. Personally, I have never purchased a game where I subsequently got so much for free. As a customer, I definitely appreciate that.

I saw that on the new DB, there is a prime record for Hector Acero Sanchez at JFW. The older DB had a set of ratings for Sanchez, he was active, at End CS, and he was a FW. Here is the thing, the two sets of ratings are the same.

Does career stage matter? I have to admit, I still find this game a little confusing at times. Thanks.
