Oh Those Frenchies!

Hey! Here we are in the last days of the most prestigious sporting event in the entire world, The World Cup of Football, and I see the French are still in it. But amazingly, that superpower of the sporting world, America, is gone. Did they surrender to one of the other great nations of Football like Brazil, Germany, or Argentina? No. They got beaten by one of the most impoverished countries on the face of the globe, Ghana. Oh, well. At least they still hold supremacy in their nation's pastime, baseball. Oops! No. Seems they lost that too. Surrendered to Cuba or Japan or someone.

Happy 4th of July, America! I'll hoist a few good Canadian beers to you on this great day for us Canucks! Happy Canada Day!

geez...I wasn't even aware this was still going on...give me a good fight, baseball game or hockey any day over soccer...it is an automatic in my household...if soccer is on a tv channel, change it immediatly.

My heart goes out to English Football fans. You put up a great fight. Too bad about Rooney. That was a blow. We were proud of the play of Alberta's Own Hargreaves for the Auld Country! I was puzzled by Robinson's lack of movement during the penalty kicks. If he is that immobile, why not substitute? I hate shoot-outs! Guess I'll cheer for France against Brazil and Germany against Italy now.
