Stud starters become MR's

I wanted to shed some light on a troubling phenomenon that I saw during my sim. I have 1 example (and as I write this, I'll look for others), where a YOUNG pitcher was a stud one year and would go to the bullpen the next and have productive careers in the bullpen. But it's troubling to see that they were put into the bullpen in the first place.

Here's the screenshot for one at the bottom (I apologize as my photoshop skills are not that great). I can give out more info if what's on the screen isn't sufficient.

Admittedly, looking through my recordbook at season ERA leaders (only starters seem to qualify), it does look like this SP -> MR is the exception and not the norm.

Here's another example, although he did end up becoming a starter again.

True, John and Eck are both front line that became closers... NOT middle relief guys. And those are just 3 examples, there are PLENTY more. and with the 1st guy... the dude had a 1.06 ERA... no one in their right mind would then put him in the bullpen.

And yes, that guy is 151 years old, but long since retired. The player card keeps track of how old a player is even AFTER retiring. This league is currently in its 200th year.

Could you post their histories?

In all those cases, I see the ERAs went up significantly the year they moved to the bullpen or soon after, and it may indicate they took some sort of talent hits.

I have 1 example (and as I write this, I'll look for others), where a YOUNG pitcher was a stud one year and would go to the bullpen the next and have productive careers in the bullpen. But it's troubling to see that they were put into the bullpen in the first place. Here's the screenshot for one at the bottom (I apologize as my photoshop skills are not that great).
