Please help with logo creation

This is going to be a major undertaking, but it will be well worth it.
I started playing Strat-O-Matic/APBA baseball abut 13 years ago with
my best friend and his grampa. Over time, we created several leagues
and that passion has always stayed with me. I no longer have anyone
around me that is interested in the dice game, so I have moved on
to the computer sim version. I have worked feverishly to figure this
amazing game out, but I have no skills in graphic design. But you guys,
on the other hand, are amazing. I am asking anyone out there that
would like to bring my league to life after all these years to make
16 logos for me. It is 2 leagues of mine, merged together. The teams
are as follows:

Eastern Conference:
New England Division:
---------------
Brockton Pilgrims
Hartford Trappers
Manchester Field Generals
Providence Islanders
Tri-State Division:
---------------
Bridgeport Sounders
Long Island Seadragons
Trenton Hessians (my original team from 1992, forest green and black please
----> Hessians were the German mercenaries for the Brits in the Rev.
War which Washington defeated in the Battle of Trenton)
Yonkers Express

Western Conference:
Northern Division:
---------------
Calgary Canadian-Giants
Edmonton Leathernecks
St. Paul AEsir
Winnipeg Maroons
Plains Division:
----------------
Des Moines Ravenhawks
Omaha Stallions
Tulsa Barnstormers
Wichita Twisters

This is a great league (That needs a name!), with 2 very different
styles of play between the 2 conferences. If anyone could help me
out, that would be awesome.
Thanks,
Johnny Astro

Since this is for SOM, what size do you need for the logos?

I'll help tackle the New England Division. Here are two versions for the Brockton Pilgrims. Let me know which you like better. I'm thinking the New England Division is a bit older and may want a more traditional look. But don't let me influence you

dark blue = 0D264E
light blue = B8D8F8
grey = AAAAAB

Wow, thanks a ton! These all look solid. I'm into a traditional look for all the league, and already beyond impressed. Thanks.

So I was browsing among cephasjames' logos, and I found several that I can use, but I have no photoshop/illustrator knowledge or access, so if it isn't too much trouble for you guys to keep helping me.

Frankly, I'm stoked with anything, but I really like the more classic looking designs then the super cartoony ones. And in a circle is definitely the way to go:

Maybe in black w/ Des Moines Ravenhawks somewhere in the image?

Maybe use the torando for the Witchita Twisters, maybe change color?

Outlaws could be the new Edmonton name instead of leathernecks...

St. Paul AEsir may use this? AEsir----> Norse gods which Odin is a part, Thor half AEsir.

But I really liked the simplicity of the 1st Brockton design. Maybe the Trenton Hessians could be in a similar style (forest green and black as the primary colors), timeless like the Yankees/Red Sox.

Thanks in advance.

Also, used

Also, used Omaha Railbarrons name and graphic if permitted. Eliminates that need.

I should be able to finish your New England division this evening after work. I had a prototype for Trenton going yesterday...

Trenton's super sweet, and I really like the P in anchor of the Islanders.

Man, sorry about not responding, I've been too busy playing. This is more what I was thinking. However, not to sound like a jerk, I'm a bit more of a traditionalist.

Thanks though for the effort.
